Introduction 06-25-08 1.25 hours I wrote my introduction and played a couple games.
Reviews 06-26-08 1.25 hours I played a couple different games and wrote 2 reviews.
What I've learned so far June 25th-July 12 25 hours I've learned SO much these past days. We've been planning the game, brainstorming ideas, sketching scenes, and working with flash. Planning the game was the hardest thing we did in my opinion. Everyone had so many great ideas for the games and had to just choose just one. Then once we chose our game (The Ulimate Lunch Tray) we started brainstorming ideas for the scenes, sounds, and images. We knew we had to make it fun as well as educational. Once we had chosen our game and brainstormed our ideas, we started sketching out the scenes on paper. We planned out how every scene would look and drew them. I must say, our designs were pretty nice. After we had our design, we started working with flash to draw them out. When I first saw the introduction to flash, I thought I would NEVER understand it. But, once I started playing around with it, I began to catch on. I drew two loaves of bread (white and wheat), pizza, and carrots. I have been having so much fun with flash and I can't wait to draw more. I have much more to learn and am looking forward to working on this game until we get it finished.
What I did today 07-14-08 2 hours I learned how to do the flash buttons FINALLY! It took me two hours and I got really frustrated but I pulled through. I worked on it with Ronaldo and figured it out by carefully following the tutorials and talking to Leslie (New York Intern). I didn't think we would be able to figure it out today or ever but WE DID! You can't really tell that you can click the buttons because we haven't added the following scenes. However, I am going to add it to the July 11th page on Course Schedule.
What I did today 07-15-08 2 hours I helped in getting everyone to decide which banana, pizza, etc... we were going to use. A lot of the foods had to be redone but we did that quickly. I made sure everyone uploaded their new foods as a flash file. I needed them to be a flash file so I could open them and turn them into buttons. I got a lot of the food made into buttons. The ones I didn't get done, I plan on finishing tomorrow.
What I did today 07-16-08 2 hours Today I finished making food buttons but I realized it was POINTLESS! I mean I guess they helped me learn how to perfect making buttons. Today I worked on making scene 5's food into buttons but I didn't get to far. I am having problems making all the ones on the conveyor belt into buttons. Tomorrow, I hope to learn how to make those into buttons and finish scene 5!
What I did today 07-17-08 1 hours and 40 minutes Today I finished scene 5 and scene 6. I had a lot of problems with scene 6 and had to redo it twice.
