Imagine - Health Games and Animations
Before you start building anything in Flash, you need to pick a concept related to Health and Nutrition that you want your game to focus on.
Using Flash for the first time
Before you write your game idea in Flash, learn about the Flash CS3 workspace: How to set up the workspace, work with the Stage, and create and open documents.
- Read the First steps in Flash tutorial. It introduces core elements of the workspace, such as menus and tools you will use frequently.
- Watch the following Introduction to Flash video clip:
Writing Your Game or Animation Idea with Flash Text
- Complete the Flash Text Basics tutorial.
- Create a one frame Flash movie with a text field containing your game idea. Explain how the game will work and describe its background or learning objective. Write enough to fill at least one screen, about 100-200 words. Make it fun!
- Learn how to Save and Publish your Flash movie to the Wiki.
- When saving your work in Flash CS3 you create a file with the extension of .FLA. That file is the source code of your work.
- To create a Flash movie file (.SWF) you need to publish your work.
Update the Wiki
1. Upload both the Flash movie file (.SWF) file and source code file (.FLA) to the Wiki.
- The .SWF file is the Flash movie you created, upload it to show your work!
- The .FLA file is the source code of the movie, upload it and let others learn from your code!
2. Add the Flash movie file (.SWF) you uploaded to your project page.
3. Share your work with others by adding your Flash movie to the Students Contributions section on this page.
